What Exactly IS a Didgeridoo??

So what is a didgeridoo, or is that supposed to be Didjeridu or Yidaki?? Well the didgeridoo is an
instrument foremost, and very likely one of the oldest instruments known to man.
In recent years the didgeridoo has seen a revival in interest from a little know about instrument used by the
Aborigines of northern Australia in ceremonies and festive gatherings, to a popular musical addition to rock bands,
ochestras, techno and trance music, solo musical productions and it's even used in healing.
The didgeridoo is a wooden wind instrument made a hollow piece of eucalupt tree log grown the northern region of
Australia. Termites eat the insides of certain hardwood tree types which are then cut and cleaned to make an
authentic didgeridoo.

Traditonally the didgeridoo was made from Hardwood from Arnhem Land, in Northern Territories of
Australia, but now they are made of all sorts of natural materials such as Bamboo, Eucalyptus, Bees Wax
and synthetic materials such as PVC pipe.
